Agricultural Drone Imaging and Crop Analysis

Drone flying over expansive farmland with crops.

Terra Intelligence provides drone-based multispectral imaging and analysis for Wisconsin agricultural operations. We help farmers identify crop variability, potential stress, and areas that may require closer ground inspection—allowing scouting and management decisions to be more targeted and efficient.

Services are available for corn, soybeans, wheat, and other row crops, with options for individual scans or recurring monitoring throughout the growing season.

What We Analyze

Crop Health and Variability

Crop Health and Variability

Multispectral imagery can reveal differences in crop vigor across a field and help identify areas that may warrant closer inspection.

Vegetation Indices

Terra analyzes NDVI, NDRE, SAVI, and other vegetation indices to evaluate crop condition and spatial variability.

Moisture and Water Patterns

Imagery can help identify areas showing potential moisture stress, drainage concerns, or inconsistent field conditions.

Targeted Scouting Areas

Potentially affected areas can be mapped and paired with coordinates so growers know where to investigate on the ground.

How It Works

1. Plan the Scan

Terra works with you to determine the acreage, timing, and areas of interest for the flight.

2. Image the Field

We collect high-resolution RGB and multispectral imagery using drone-based aerial mapping.

3. Analyze the Results

Imagery is processed and reviewed for crop variability, potential stress, moisture patterns, and other areas that may warrant ground inspection.

4. Deliver Results

You receive maps, observations, and coordinates for potentially affected areas, along with practical recommendations for follow-up scouting.  Findings are customized to your operation and management priorities.

Seasonal Crop Monitoring

Crop conditions can change significantly throughout the growing season. Terra offers individual scans as well as recurring monitoring programs that allow growers to compare field conditions over time, identify developing areas of concern, and evaluate whether previously identified areas are improving, stable, or worsening.

Monitoring frequency can be customized based on crop type, acreage, growth stage, weather conditions, and management priorities.

  • Track changes over time
  • Prioritize scouting between visits
  • Compare conditions throughout the season

What You Receive

1. Field Health Maps

Clear visual maps showing crop variability and areas of potential concern across the scanned acreage.

2. Vegetation Index Analysis

NDVI, NDRE, SAVI, and other relevant imagery used to evaluate crop condition and spatial differences.

3. Coordinates for Areas of Interest

Mapped locations and coordinates so growers can quickly ground-check specific areas.

4. Findings and Recommendations

A concise summary of observations, potential concerns, and suggested follow-up actions based on the scan results.

Flexible Scan Options

Terra offers both individual scans and seasonal monitoring packages. Services can be customized based on acreage, crop type, monitoring frequency, and management priorities.
